Sleep does wonders for the weary soul. It revitalizes overworked muscles, rejuvenates worn-out cells, renews torn sinews, and makes you feel whole again.
Sleep is the one thing the body needs for relaxation and repair. Toss sleep aside too many times and you will pretty much function like a Zombie during the day before eventually crashing to the nearest sofa, bed, or even the floor.
By the same token, too many sleepless nights make for a crabby, grumpy, moody, and downright miserable you. But good sleep helps you to feel rested, puts a pep in your step when you wake up, and positions you to conquer the day.
A good night’s sleep is the key to you exuding spunk and flair, and even
influences how you show up in photographs.
How so?
Because:
When you sleep there is an increase in blood flow to the skin which causes it to look healthy and glowing the next morning. Radiant-looking skin is exactly the type of skin you want when you are being photographed. Flawless skin is the envy of most women and needs little or no touching up. You can showcase your true self.
True, creams and moisturizers do help the skin to look radiant, but they are useless against a tired-looking face.
Puffy eyes and dark under-eye circles melt away while you sleep. When you don’t get enough sleep the thin layer of skin around the eyes fill with liquid causing puffiness and bags.
Stress hormones decrease allowing muscles to relax bringing down the temperature of the skin.
The moment your head touches the pillow, all worry ceases, and the anxiety that goes with it stops. So forget staying up worrying about how you will look in front of the camera and get that much-needed night's rest and beauty sleep. Let the photographer worry about how you will look, that’s the photographer’s job.
Collagen production ramps up at night and you know you need collagen to reduce lines and wrinkles.
Programs the cycadean rhythm
You get an increase in energy when you sleep. An early bedtime, at least two hours before midnight is said to be the magic hour for sleep. It allows your body to get enough rest which in turn gives the body a great big boost in the morning.
